SINOPSE: A série narrava as aventuras de um caminhoneiro chamado Billy Joe (B.J.) McKay, seu mascote, um chipanzé chamado Urso (Bear), juntamente com enorme caminhão vermelho e branco, de marca Kenworth, pelas estradas norte-americanas, onde enfrentavam uma série de aventuras com caminhoneiros rivais, policiais corruptos e bandidos de todo o tipo e de diversas índoles. B.J. sempre tinha em seu encalço o corrupto Xerife Lobo, que o perseguia em meio a atmosfera rural do meio oeste americano. Pouco tempo depois, o Xerife Lobo, acabou ganhando sua própria série e deixou o espetáculo. Foi substituído por outros policiais corruptos, o Sargento Beauregard Wiley e seus dois xerifes, Masters e Cain.
